What excercises can you suggest to ease upper neck discomfort? Dear Leah, Donnis Tatro wrote an excellent article with the help of a physical therapist on these issues. Tatro DE. Ergonomics for the dental hygienist. J Prac Hyg 1997;6(1):35-39 If you do not have access to the Journal of Practical Hygiene I will be happy to send you a copy. Just let me know. Also the upper neck and back soreness can be greatly alleviated by using magnification and an ergonomic chair. You may wish to review the articles I wrote on these subjects.
